If you need a new Acorn Stairlift installing in your home, the usual first step is a pre-arranged visit by your local Acorn Surveyor to measure your staircase, assess your needs and provide a comprehensive no-obligation quote. As part of our steps to combat coronavirus, we’ve introduced a new and remote ‘Virtual Survey’ process, eliminating the need for someone to visit you in person.
We’ve developed a very simple way to work with you get some basic measurements and pictures of your staircase, enabling us to determine suitability and pricing. The process is carried out using a mobile smartphone or tablet and usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes, with our stairlift expert taking you through the process in a clear, step-by-step manner. By the end we should have a full understanding of your needs and the best stairlift for you.
Items you will need for the virtual survey are a measuring tape, a pen and paper and a smartphone or tablet which can take and send photos. Our stairlift expert will explain all the measurements and pictures needed and guide you through the process.
Once all the details are ready, we will email a no-hidden-extras quote for the work. There is no obligation to proceed and we will not pressure you, but if you choose to go ahead we can schedule a time for the installation, which could be next day if urgency is paramount.
Important note: If you don’t feel comfortable taking part in a Virtual Survey for any reason, we can still carry out a home survey in the conventional manner. In this case, the Acorn Surveyor who visits your home will observe strict hygiene and social distancing protocols throughout their visit.
